Food additives
EU authorises use of the food additive “carbomer” (E1210) in food supplements. Applies from 21 March 2023
Common Fisheries Policy
EU prohibits targeted fishing of southern bluefin tuna by EU vessels. Applies from 13 April 2023
Pesticides
EU has not renewed approval of the active substance oxamyl. Reduction in MRLs expected for 2024
New pesticide MRLs
Changes will apply from 13 April 2023 affecting:
- pyridate (chives)
- pyridaben (grapefruits)
- pyriproxyfen (apricots, pears, quinces, medlars, loquats, Japanese medlars, cranberries and okra)
Changes will apply from 21 October 2023 affecting:
- chloridazon (all products)
- fenpropimorph (berries and small fruit, roots and tubers, cereals and animal products)
